Promoting Women In Leadership
Learn how women can negotiate, navigate, and neutralize challenging situations and how men can support them as allies.
Women face a unique set of challenges as they work to establish themselves professionally. Ranging from being the minority on a team to clear gender discrimination, these challenges are often amplified in male dominated industries. Studies have shown that women still struggle to equally occupy positions of leadership and receive equal compensation.

This event is for BOTH women and men. A couple facts for you:
- 82% of professional working women believe access to and networking with female leaders will help them advance in their career. Source.
- Evidence shows that when men are deliberately engaged in gender inclusion programs, 96% of organizations see progress — compared to only 30% of organizations where men are not engaged. Source.
With these statistics in mind, this event intends to shed light on the experiences of local women in tech, provide strategies to overcome challenging situations, and share ways that men can support and be better allies for women.
